The health of our people and customers remains our top priority, so we’ve put extra measures in place to ensure the safety of our manufacturing and distribution practices. We continue to follow Government guidance to direct our health and safety procedures in all our facilities, so you can continue to browse our floors with added assurance.
Standing by our customers
We’ve been manufacturing at a reduced level over the past four months to fulfil new and existing orders – this ensured we supported customers with ongoing projects throughout lockdown, whilst readying ourselves to cater for demand as the industry began to thrive once more.
Samples and brochures have also been available throughout lockdown, via our temporarily reduced samples department, to help customers keep the momentum with their projects.
Alongside LVT, we’ve been manufacturing and distributing protective face shields for key workers around the UK. Many of our installation partners have been supplied with free Amtico face shields, to protect the welfare of their employees and your end customers
Ensuring the safety of our people
Keeping our employees and their families safe is a top priority for us. We have introduced stringent health and safety procedures to ensure our manufacturing, office and warehouse facilities are COVID-secure.
Our facilities now feature carefully selected one and two way routes, we’ve installed numerous hand sanitising stations around site, and are providing disposable PPE for employees to wear as they move around the facility. We have also installed several automatic temperature testing systems in key entrances.
All working employees have been supplied with on and off-site Amtico Operating Guideline booklets, to guide them through the new health and safety procedures in place. Where able, a proportion of our office team have been operating from their homes. Video meetings have become the norm, and we have introduced a range of presentations and Q&A sessions with members of the Amtico Board, to keep remote and furloughed workers connected.
Producing PPE for key workers across the UK
Since lockdown, we’ve used our manufacturing expertise to produce parts for life-saving PPE, for key workers on the front line of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Partnering with seven schools across the country, Amtico ran the production of parts, and our school partners managed the assembly and distribution of the face shields through their supportive network of regional volunteers.
As schools returned to a mix of virtual and socially distanced classes, Amtico took the decision to take sole ownership of the supply of face shields – having now supplied over 70,000 face shields to organisations including NHS hospitals, dental practices, care homes, doctors’ surgeries, schools and high street retailers.
We would like to thank our school and supplier partners for their role in supporting the NHS and key workers across the UK.
