Colour trends in 2018: Mature tones for wellness

posted: March 2018

In our preview of 2018 we mentioned a growing trend of ‘mature’ tones in colour. To focus on this further, the interior trend for bright ‘pop’ colours looks like it’s moving on. Whilst we accent colour will always be used, the design team are mindful of an increasing need to reflect a universal interest in wellness. This means softer tones derived from the earth, combined with organic textures can bring an interior space closer to the natural world and its health benefits. Whether the space is for living or working, study or leisure it’s an all-consuming colour trend.

The trend for natural textures endures, people want to engage with spaces that connect with the natural environment. I think there will be clever mixes of colour with accent tones to lift the natural.
