Amtico helps bring the outdoors into a children's hospice. Shooting Star Children's Hospice is a charitable organisation which cares for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions. The charity's hospices include private rooms, where nurses can provide care, and communal spaces, which benefit the children and parents alike.

Shooting Star Children's Hospice were in desperate need of renovation, so the commercial design experts at Area offered their services to give the rooms a vibrant redesign. With generous donations from companies including Amtico, which supplied product free of charge, Area was able to transform the lounge and dining spaces.
Area to chose to bring the outside in, with sky-blue walls, moving hot air balloons, clouds, a rainbow-coloured breakfast bar and a green grass-like floor, which was tastefully surrounded by natural wood-effect Luxury Vinyl Tiles (LVT) from Amtico's flagship Signature Collection. Amtico was the ideal choice as it is both durable and came with a 20 year warranty. Amtico Acoustic, a high performance sound-absorbing backing layer, was also chosen to help reduce sound, adding a sense of calm to an otherwise busy spaces.
