With 2020 event cancelled, it was a double celebration for the rising stars of 2020 & 2021, as they gathered together with colleagues and mentors at Senator Allermuir's spectacular new Clerkenwell showspace.
As it’s been a long time since Mix Interiors has been able to meet their guests face to face, they took the opportunity to ask a few of them about their experiences over the past couple of years.
Lockdown caused various limitations and challenges. With in-person meetings no longer an option, the desire for technology rapidly increased. Many of the guests had international projects, thus relied on the accessibility of technology in order to communicate and presume work at home. However, with restrictions in place, it gave people time to reflect and learn how to respect their colleagues. It also drew attention to how much people rely on each other in order to get work done.
After restrictions were lifted, many people made the decision to get back into the office work lifestyle, with access to additional resources and facilities to help enhance their work productivity. By employers providing a safe and positive place to work, this helped to improve motivation and encourage people back into the office.
Nevertheless, there’s still going to be hesitation about going back full-time in the office. As a result, employers are looking into new flexible work policies that offer employees the opportunity to share their time across both the office and at home.
