Windsor House in Cardiff is a collection of 312 luxurious studio and ‘twodio’ apartments designed for the student market. To complete the high-spec living accommodation and carefully designed social spaces, a range of Amtico flooring was specified to achieve a unique aesthetic and purpose.

Amtico Signature flooring was chosen for the project and utilised in all studios and social spaces, providing the design flexibility and necessary durability. Inspired by a high-end London restaurant, Amtico Stone products Composite Calcium and Graphite Slate have been laid in a distinctive Parquet pattern throughout the communal areas of Windsor House – merging blacks and whites to guide people into the building and draw the eye towards individual areas.

In the lounges and bar areas, the combination of Amtico woods including Fumed Oak, Script Maple Rum and Brushed Oak soften and define the spaces, offering a more calming and relaxed atmosphere.

The apartments were finished with Frosted Oak from the Amtico First Collection in a simple Stripwood pattern which provides a practical and cost-effective design solution for light commercial environments, such as student accommodation.
