BIM, or Building Information Modelling, was developed by RIBA as a method of designing all elements of a building digitally. The online NBS National BIM Library holds each manufacturer’s product information as ‘BIM objects’ to enable architects, specifiers and designers to access these and create building plans using BIM software.
