At Amtico, we’re constantly looking for ways to improve our collections. Our team of designers spend hours researching new trends, patterns, colours and textures – they then distil this expertise into new and exciting Amtico flooring designs especially for you. This is exactly how we’ve developed such an extensive range of enduring classics, like Parquet, Basket Weave and Key Stone.
We are pleased to announce that the latest additions to our Laying Patterns collection have just launched: Castel Weave, French Weave, Muralist and Cubist. These patterns are an experiment in texture, tones and palettes – the result is a gorgeously sophisticated, astounding and ready-to-use collection.
Our designers took inspiration from the beauty of traditional parquetry to craft Castel Weave. A truly artisan weave, it lends itself to a varied selection of textures and grains – from the subtle tones of White Wash Wood in "Washed" (shown here), to the deep and welcoming shades of Pier Oak in "Driftwood", there is something to suit every living space.
If you’re looking for a Laying Pattern with the strength and impact to cover large spaces, then look no further. French Weave is perfectly balanced, this finely crafted weave works particularly well with distinctive wood grains, such as Galleon Oak in "Keel", Aged Oak in "Lute" or the Brushed Oak in "Mansion" (shown here).
This mitred triangular design was inspired by classic geometry, clean lines and angular shapes. The resulting pattern echoes traditional wooden parquetry and encaustic tiles thus bringing a subtle depth to any room. The effective tonal combinations of Cubist work wonderfully in a variety of shades such as Dark Walnut in "Turin", Ink Wash Wood in "Monaco" and Manor Oak in "Canterbury" (shown below).
Channel the on-trend mid-century style with the new Muralist laying pattern. Both intricate and high-impact, this design is wonderfully versatile – allowing you to add a splash of pattern with ease. Depending on your space, you could opt for an all-over patterned design, or simply add a few feature tiles as a point of interest. Choose from cool grey tones like Basilica Salt, Basilica Shell and Kura Caraway in "Forum" or inject some warmth into your area with Mirabelle Creme, Basilica Shale and Riverstone Tundra in "Piazza". Shown above, "Graffiti" featuring Basilica Salt, Kura Caraway and Graphite Slate.
Along with the 4 laying patterns, we are also introducing the versatile new Etch Border module. Lorna Williams, Head of Product Design and Creative Branding at Amtico, explains:
Etch is an expandable design. It can be a small decorative border feature, or used in
multiples to create a checker block pattern.
Available in any Signature product combination, Etch is a great way to highlight a space or border your floor. Shown here in a subtle Brushed Oak and Fumed Oak combination (top) and a classic Dark Walnut and Metal Gold Leaf (bottom).
