Amtico Take Back Scheme

At Amtico we are passionate about sustainability and have launched the Amtico Take Back scheme to assist our customers with the recycling of Amtico LVT products created during installation or at the end of the flooring’s lifespan.

Installation offcuts of Amtico LVT which are “clean” can be collected and recycled directly back into our products, becoming new Amtico LVT, which supports a circular economy by reducing the reliance on new materials.

LVT waste contaminated with foreign materials (e.g. glue, screed etc.) can also be returned for recycling. This includes end-of-life LVT flooring removed during the installation of new Amtico LVT (including uplifted LVT from other manufacturers). These contaminated materials are sent to our waste partners who turn them into other products such as road traffic cones and speed bumps.

Please note: Amtico Take Back is for LVT waste only and other flooring types (e.g. carpet, laminate etc.) cannot be returned.

How to get involved

  1. Contact takeback@amtico.com to request sacks for collection of LVT waste at your site.

  2. You will be provided with two large 1 tonne sacks, one for collection of clean LVT offcuts and the other for collection of contaminated LVT waste. You will also receive four smaller ¼ tonne sacks for your installers to take to installation sites for easier collection and transport of materials back to your main site.

  3. When your sacks are full and need collecting please contact our team again at takeback@amtico.com to arrange a collection via our DDS fleet, which will be made within 5 working days of the request being processed. If new sacks are required to replace those being collected, please request at this stage.

  4. Before the collection time slot, please print out the Amtico Waste Transfer Note document (3 sheets) and complete the BLUE sections on each sheet. Then hand all three sheets to the DDS driver who will complete their parts in PINK. You will then be handed your customer copy, which must be kept on record for 2 years.

  5. Your collection will then be logged with your company name, postcode and number of sacks to enable us to identify how much material you have collected and returned to us.

Becoming a zero avoidable waste company by 2040.
