Project: The Royal Hotel Randwick, Sydney
One of Sydney’s leading suburban hotels. The Royal Hotel Randwick is a historic building that was built by Thomas Browne in 1887 to serve the growing settlement, and which has now been heritage-listed by the National Trust of Australia.
Fumed Oak from our Signature collection was used throughout the dining area in a Herringbone Plank laying pattern.

Herringbone Laying Pattern
This timeless design is used to direct the flow of movement throughout the bar area. Fumed Oak’s Smoky tones, rough grain and textured emboss give Fumed Oak a real rawness that enhances the vintage look.
“We couldn’t be happier with our refurb. We were looking for a robust product that was easy to clean while still maintaining the heritage of the Hotel. We replaced the existing Axminster carpet and ceramic tiles, as they were proving difficult to maintain.”
