Amtico Crowned Manufacturer of the Year

We are thrilled to announce that Amtico has been named ‘Manufacturer of the Year’ at the CoventryLive and WarwickshireLive Business Awards 2022.

The ceremony was held on 28th October at the Coombe Abbey Hotel, with TV journalist and broadcaster Frances Donovan presenting the awards. The evening celebrated companies of all sizes in the Coventry and Warwickshire region, with Amtico taking home the Lord Kumar Bhattacharyya Award for Manufacturer of the Year, sponsored by Made Smarter West Midlands delivered by CWLEP Growth Hub.

The category celebrates companies that have upheld the manufacturing traditions of the Coventry area while continuing to strengthen the regional economy. The award is dedicated to Lord Kumar Bhattacharyya, who passed away in 2019 and was Britain’s first-ever Professor of Manufacturing, and the founder of Warwick Manufacturing Group at the University of Warwick.

Colin Coleman and Nigel Williams collected the Manufacturer of the Year award on behalf of the company.

I am proud of the team for their dedication to manufacturing world-leading floors here in Coventry. For over 50 years we have been continuously evolving and innovating our product development, and we can happily say we’re the only LVT company to manufacture from scratch in the UK. The award is a fantastic achievement and testament to the hard work that goes into every Amtico floor.
