On Wednesday 9th July, we were proud to be one of the brand partners of Hotel Design’s MEET UP North. This fantastic event not only provided a great opportunity for networking but offered insightful and thought-provoking discussion through the series: Accessible Design Talks.

The discussion, ‘Accessibility Through the Lens of Neurodivergence’, was hosted by Hotel Design’s editor – Sophie Harper, and welcomed two panel members renowned for inclusive design: Tolù Adẹ̀kọ́, Founder and Creative Director at Tolù Adẹ̀kọ́, and Melissa Messmer, Global head of Design, Luxury Brands at IHG Hotels & Resorts, to discuss their ongoing research and how it’s shaping their strategy to develop better brand standards for different needs.

Hosted at BOXPARK in the vibrant city of Liverpool, the event welcomed guests from all over, helping to re-connect with familiar faces as well as form new relationships. Watch the highlights here.

It was a wonderful event and a fantastic opportunity to meet so many creative individuals in the design community in the hotel and hospitality sector. The talk was incredibly insightful and thought-provoking, and incredibly significant to the design community. It was a real pleasure to be part of MEET UP North 2025.
