Create a traditional design

Amtico Décor and the National Trust worked in collaboration to create a selection of designs that honour traditional pattern that have been reimagined for the modern world.

The Kedleston Hall Edit is a collection of designs from Amtico Décor that were inspired by Kedleston Hall, built in 1765 to the designs of renowned British architect Robert Adam. This stunning site and its rich history served as a source of creative influence for our in-house design team.

Drawing inspiration from the rich heritage of traditional marquetry flooring, Amtico Décor offers intricate patterns in both wood and stone, making it a perfect choice for design schemes that celebrate a location’s history.

DC613 Venetian Parquet Hemlock from the Kedleston Hall Edit is a stunning example of a how the design team drew influence from Lady Curzon’s Peacock Dress, and how it beautifully translates into an impactful laying pattern which creates an exquisite finish when flooding a space.

Its delicate geometry emphasises the wood grain directionality. Seen here with Chargot Oak, a rich wood that brings luxury and warmth to commercial spaces.

Amtico Décor celebrates enduring patterns, offering palettes to complement the overall aesthetic, whilst staying true to its historical inspiration. DC623 Classic Aquamarine features a muted palette of greys and blues in a geometric pattern, making it perfect to create impact whilst using gentle and harmonious colours.

In smaller commercial settings, Amtico Décor works beautifully to flood a space, helping to add depth, character, and charm to even the most compact environments.

Designed by Significant Others, Brunswick Book Club’s scheme was to celebrate the location’s history and character. DC471 Victorian Star Otto was used to finish the bar.

“At Brunswick Book Club, the black-and-white patterned vinyl flooring from Amtico played a crucial role in tying together the venue’s vibrant yet nostalgic design. The flooring adds a playful contrast to the cosy, book club-inspired interior, enhancing the venue’s welcoming charm and making it a standout feature of this much-loved community destination," commented Alana Vance, Interior Designer from Significant Others.

A contemporary twist

As well as its traditional designs, Amtico Décor features patterns that serve contemporary visions. Using angular shapes and complementary colour palettes, these designs add visual interest to commercial spaces, whether used as a full floor or as a feature area.

DC456 Echo Keys features a combination of two contrasting colours that beautifully complement moodier schemes in modern interior design. Its simple yet striking pattern makes a statement.

The finishing touch

Whether flooding a space or using feature areas and zoning, Amtico Décor makes design easy. Combining wood and stone patterns is a great way to bring a sense of luxury to any commercial interior.

This design incorporates Venetian Parquet in both a wood and stone combination. DC614 features Tay Oak, and its rich wood is beautifully complemented with DC615 which combines marble designs.

Amtico Décor uses Amtico Signature colours, meaning that full-floor concepts can be seamlessly created when designing feature areas, whether pulling a colour from the design to flood the space, or using a wood or stone to match the palette or create a striking contrast.

DC456 is used here to make a statement zoned seating area and a decorative detail around the bar, creating a cohesive floor design that helps tie the interior scheme together.

The design has been paired with Tay Oak from Amtico Signature, creating a defined walkway between the seating areas.

The incorporation of borders helps to finish the edge of each area whilst connecting the different flooring used throughout the design.
