Project: Butterfield Bank, Jersey

Butterfield’s Jersey office, located in IFC 6 in St. Helier, opened its doors in 2023. The interior design was created by Axis Mason, who developed a curated environment to elevate the office culture by fostering interaction in the workplace to cultivate collaboration and innovation.

The use of zoned flooring clearly defines workspaces and breakout areas, helping to bring clarity to the space. The vibrancy of the design fosters an environment which helps drive creativity.

Amtico Spacia

Amtico Spacia’s Terrazzo designs provide an on-trend and beautifully decorative finish to any space. Gibson features a light base with subtle pearlescent chips throughout. Its light tones make it a perfect complementary design when paired with a wood or surrounded by a colour or stone.

Butterfield’s break out space uses Gibson laid in a simple pattern, Uniform Tile, which lets the stunning finish of the tile do the talking.

Axis Mason worked to find a close match to the marble finish reminiscent of Butterfield’s existing offices. The use of Amtico Spacia’s White and Black Marbles laid in Checkerboard has created a stylish and traditional look.

Amtico Form

Complementing the Terrazzo design is Eventide Oak from Amtico Form in a Large Parquet helping to zone the breakout space. Large Parquet remains a popular choice for commercial projects; it adds a touch of luxury to large spaces whilst showcasing the stunning, realistic tonal variety and delicate textures of the Amtico Form woods.
