Amtico HT Extra Adhesive
Amtico High Temperature Extra Adhesive is a water-based high-temperature adhesive formulated using reinforcing fibres to ensure excellent initial grab and high final bond strength.
Working time: Up to 20 minutes.
Emissions: GEV-EMICODE® EC1+
Suitability: For areas with temperature variation, such as new builds, areas with underfloor heating installations and floors exposed to direct sunlight.
Suited to detailed layouts and design floors.
Coverage: Approximately 3 - 3.5m2 per kg.

Amtico HT Adhesive
Amtico High Temperature Adhesive is a water-based high-temperature adhesive formulated to ensure a secure bond in environments with temperature variation.
Working time: Up to 30 minutes.
Emissions: GEV-EMICODE® EC1+
Suitability: Suitable for use over underfloor heating installations.
Coverage: Approximately 4m2 per litre (e. 3 - 3.5m2 per kg).

Amtico SF Adhesive
Amtico Solvent Free Adhesive is a very low-emissions water-based acrylic adhesive that provides high bond strength, strong initial tack and a good open time.
Working time: Up to 60 minutes.
Emissions: GEV-EMICODE® EC1+, French VOC A
Suitability: Large areas with stable temperatures.
Coverage: Approximately 4m2 per litre (e. 3 - 3.5m2 per kg).

Amtico PS Adhesive
Amtico Pressure Sensitive Adhesive is a single-part, water-based, acrylic adhesive with an extended working time. A non-flammable, solvent-free adhesive with low VOC emissions.
Working time: Extended working time of up to 180 minutes.
Emissions: GEV-EMICODE® EC1+
Suitability: Large areas with stable temperatures.
Coverage: Approximately 3 - 3.5m2 per kg.

Amtico Universal 2-Part Adhesive
Universal 2-Part Adhesive is a urethane-based adhesive providing excellent grab and a very high strength bond. Water resistant, it is ideal for LVT installations in toilets and bars and non-porous subfloors, including metal.
Pot life: 20 minutes.
Working time: Up to 60 minutes.
Emissions: GEV-EMICODE® EC2
Suitability: Suitable for use over underfloor heating installations.
Recommended for: Wet areas such as bathrooms and bars, and non-porous subfloors, including metal.
Coverage: Approximately 2 - 2.5m2 per kg.

Amtico Tackifier
Amtico Tackifier is a water-based releasable adhesive designed for quick-turnaround installation of Amtico Access loose lay LVT and Amtico Entryway entrance matting.
Straightforward to apply with a roller, the adhesive forms a permanent tack after 30–60 minutes, allowing efficient installation and, if needed, easy lifting of tiles for replacement or underfloor access.
Drying time: 30-60 minutes.
Emissions: GEV-EMICODE® EC1+
Suitability: Loose lay LVT and matting.
Coverage: Approximately 10-20m2 per kg.

Choosing the right adhesive for your project
Every space asks something different of a floor. The right adhesive will depend on the Amtico product being installed, the subfloor, the installation method and the conditions within the space. From busy commercial interiors to areas with underfloor heating, direct sunlight, moisture or raised access flooring, the Amtico adhesive range gives you options for a wide variety of project conditions.

Amtico Adhesives FAQs
For areas with underfloor heating, a high temperature adhesive should be used. Amtico HT Extra Adhesive, Amtico HT Adhesive and Amtico Universal 2-part adhesive are suitable for installations where heat or temperature variation may affect the floor.
The correct choice will depend on the Amtico product being installed and the conditions of the project, so please refer to the relevant technical data sheet or speak to our Technical team before installation.
For more detailed layouts and design-led floors, Amtico HT Extra Adhesive is usually the best choice. Its fibre-reinforced formulation provides excellent initial grab and high final bond strength, helping support more intricate installations.

This depends on the adhesive used, site conditions and the installation itself.
As a general guide, the finished floor should be protected from point loads and heavy traffic for at least 24 hours after installation. In most cases, careful foot traffic is possible later on the same day the floor is fitted. Always check the relevant technical data sheet before use, and speak to your installer who may also be able to provide additional guidance based on site conditions.
Excess adhesive should be removed as soon as possible, following the guidance for the adhesive being used.
Wet adhesive can usually be removed with a damp cloth. Dried adhesive can be removed using Amtico Adhesive Remover, or a diluted solution of Amtico Stripper (deep cleaner) applied carefully with a clean damp cloth.
For Universal 2-Part Adhesive, please refer to the technical data sheet, as cured adhesive can only be removed mechanically.

Amtico HT Extra Adhesive, HT Adhesive, SF Adhesive, PS Adhesive and Tackifier all have GEV-EMICODE® EC1 Plus certification, meaning they are classified as very low emission products.
The right flooring adhesive should always be selected based on the product, sub floor and site conditions, so please check the relevant technical data sheet or speak to our Technical team for guidance.
