Project: Frederick’s, London
Located in Islington, Frederick’s has been established since 1969. A family-owned restaurant and bar, Frederick’s offers a multi-functional space from private dining to weddings. Mackenzie Wheeler Architects were brought in to refresh the space, and it proudly re-opened in early 2025.

The floor design incorporates the best of both worlds, from a classic wood finish to a vibrant bespoke geometric finish. Greeting customers is a beautifully finished bold design, using a palette of blues which is balanced with softer neutral tones and complemented with rich, red wood details. The overall effect is a warm inviting environment which is bursting with charm.

Amtico Bespoke
Featuring three colours from Amtico Signature’s Colour Edit, Frederick’s features a bespoke design with diamond shaped pieces to create a three-dimensional looking floor. The chosen Colour Edit palette complements the finish of the interior design, whilst the laying pattern makes a statement and leaves a lasting impression.

Specified from Amtico’s Designers’ Choice, a curated selection of ready-to-use combinations, DC539 showcases Whinlatter Oak’s strong grain and dramatic tonal variation. The use of this combination brings a vintage charm to the overall design.
