Amtico wins ‘Investment Project of the Year’ at the 2026 Made in the Midlands Awards

Held in Birmingham, the awards celebrated the very best of Midlands manufacturing - recognising organisations that are investing in innovation, advancing capability and shaping the future of the region. To receive this award is a significant achievement for the business.

The award-winning project saw Amtico make a major investment in a state-of-the-art water bath annealing system, introduced at the final stage of our lamination process. Designed and delivered entirely in-house by our expert R&D and Engineering teams, the system replaces the previous air cooling method and marks a step change in our manufacturing capability.

As a fully internally developed solution, the project showcases Amtico’s commitment to continuous improvement, technical excellence and cross functional collaboration. It also demonstrates how targeted investment in innovation helps strengthen product quality, process efficiency and long-term competitiveness.
